Now, any changes made by the second user disappear once Bento (on the second computer) has quit, even though the sharing preferences have not changed. The "Allow others to make changes to your data" option is checked in the Bento Sharing preferences, and allowed the user on the second computer to make changes on the shared database up until ~ 1 week ago. The dB is password protected and also requires a password to access it as a share. Great Forum! I recently installed a client contact dB using Bento3, which is shared across a LAN on two computers. I've tried quitting and restarting Bento to see if it would solve the problem, but no luck.Īny help solving this issue would be greatly appreciated. I can do the workaround (edit in list view) if I'm on my desktop, but if using my iPad, I can't work with the related list because the address doesn't exist in list view. When I try to add the contact info for the related list, it brings over the name only, not the address. For example, I have a Christmas Card Library and use my Contact List Library for a related data list. The issue affects me using the data when I'm trying to access new contacts for a related list. The information will only show up in FORM view. When I sync to my iPad, the same thing is happening, only I cannot edit or change the information for the contact when I am in list view. It's isolated to information using the Address List or Email List. Any TEXT I add in the FORM view shows up fine in the List. Oddly enough, if I add the contact in the FORM view, then switch over and add the address in the LIST view, the information now shows properly. If I change information on an EXISTING contact, it is reflected properly in both the list and form views. It seems to be a problem with the Address List or Email List, but I can't be sure. I encounter the same problem with email addresses. I've selected HOME address in both views, so I know that is not the problem. If I switch to List View, the name is visible, but the address is not. For example, if I add a NEW contact (name and address), everything is visible on the form. The problem I'm encountering is when I ADD a new contact in FORM VIEW, the information for the ADDRESS is showing properly on the FORM view, but does not show up on the list view. My Apple address book contacts were converted when I updated to Bento 4.
